Berkshire Mosaic: A Multicultural BRiDGE Living History Project is a powerful space for our contributing writers, our interviewees, and our community to share real stories, i.e. our living history, to catalyze being seen, heard and understood. A gentle, inviting, celebratory yet powerful form of social justice. Berkshire County is known for its beautiful rolling hills and rich cultural attractions- among others, Tanglewood, Jacob s Pillow, and Shakespeare and Company. But people passing through - like many of us who are lucky enough to be Berkshire residents - rarely get to know much about the real lives of people who live and work here, year round. As county demographics shift, learning about the lives of our neighbors helps to sustain and connect our communities. Through listening to people who figure in our immediate lives, we come to a richer understanding of one another - and ourselves. in 2012 Gwendolyn VanSant, of Multicultural BRiDGE, and Kate Abbott, of the Berkshire Eagle, partnered to create the
