Unbelievers are not the enemy; they are the prize. In apologetic conversations we too often focus on winning the argument without regard to winning the person. The argument is important, but it's just a means to an end. In Go For the Heart, we show you what the Bible says about unbelief and how to take it seriously. If you believe what God says about unbelief and posture yourself accordingly in the conversation, you can use the unbelievers' arguments as a tool to expose their real reasons for avoiding God. As it turns out, that same posture sets us up for sanctification. In apologetic encounters with unbelievers, God presents us with great opportunities to identify and destroy the lies in our own hearts. Take the argument seriously, but win the person.
