The events I write about here really happened. My observations result from growing up in the Central Valley of Northern California during the volatile decades of the 60s and early 70s as well as the life-changing experiences I encountered while living in Switzerland from 1975 to 1979, including a brief return to the US in 1975.This, then, is how I coped with a phenomenon that I knew nothing about before that fateful trip in 1975.
