A Trail of Surprises! is the second book of The Hart Family Adventure Series. These stories take place in Southern Ohio and feature the values of nature being preserved through Native American heritage. Granny Maybelle is again featured in the role of passing these important Cherokee values on to her grandchildren. This story has three other main characters, two granddaughters and a loveable dog. Other interactions with family members are included, but the main story is an adventure through the woods and meadows looking for the paw prints of small animals. The journey has several discoveries along the way with a surprise ending. The book contains an activity section at the end for the readers own adventure. The Hart Family Adventure Series is both fun and educational reading material. This series has been enjoyed by both children and adults.
